The Benefits of Donating to LifePath (Senior Services of Albany)
A gift to LifePath helps provide older adults with programs and services that allow them to live independently, in their homes, for as long as possible.
For over 65 years, LifePath has been providing vital services such as nutrition, caregiver support, and transportation. Although the request for services continues to grow, funding does not. Government funding covers part of the costs associated with providing these programs and services but provides not funding to endow the agency.
An endowment is essential for the long-term financial stability of the agency. Interest earned on endowment funds will serve two purposes:
- it offsets the operating costs of LifePath
- it also aids current and future programs by assuring that costs are kept at a manageable level.
Your gift not only supports resources in your community, but also supports the myriad of programs and services that help older adults remain independant. Donors may invest in LifePath through single contributions, or contributions made on a multi-year giving plan. You may also choose to leave a lasting legacy through our Centurion Legacy Society.
Planned giving, sometimes referred to as gift planning, may be defined as a method of supporting non-profits that enables philanthropic individuals or donors to make larger gifts than they could make from their income. While some planned gifts provide a life-long income to the donor, others use estate and tax planning techniques to provide for non-profits and other heirs in ways that maximize the gift and/or minimize its impact on the donor’s estate. Many giving options even offer you financial benefits, allowing you to make the greatest impact on our clients while maintaining the future security of you and your loved ones.
The programs and services of LifePath depend upon your goodwill. To that end, there are a myriad of easy giving options from which you can choose – from naming us as a beneficiary in your will to a more complex trust arrangement.
